Today was an exciting day for us! First, I got my haircut and I love it! Then, Ryan went pee pee in his potty for the first time!! It was totally unexpected! He seemed interested in it, so Jimmie asked him if he needed to go pee pee and helped him get his clothes off and everything. When he got up he was saying pee pee and pointing in the potty. We were SHOCKED when we saw it in there!
So proud of our little man!
We are supposed to be having a snow day tomorrow so that should be exciting too!

We got Ryan a little potty this weekend! We may be a little late in getting one, but he has caught on to it pretty well so far. You could tell that he was really excited to have his own potty! He was saying pee pee and potty and he would sit on it and then get up and close the lid. Next thing I know he had gone poo poo in his diaper while sitting on the potty! I was so proud! Hopefully this is a good sign for how potty training will go!

We had a really busy couple of days this past weekend. We decided to do some painting and our friends Joni and Jeff offered to keep Ryan on Saturday afternoon so that we would be able to get more done, for which we were extremely grateful! We weren't able to get it all done on Saturday so I finished up on Sunday afternoon during Ryan's nap. Overall we were able to finish the two bathrooms and Ryan's room!
I am sooooo glad the baby blue is gone is Ryan's room! It was awful!
In other news, I recently discovered that Ryan's crib was recalled! So we have had him in his pack-n-play for now until we get him a new toddler bed.
I would also like to mention that my husband fried pork chops for us tonight! He did an excellent job for his first time...despite the mess in the kitchen. They were yummy and Ryan actually ate it so we were happy about that!


He climbed up on the toilet and thought it was so fun!

Mommy's Night Out

Went to Sips-n-Strokes last night with Joni! We forgot our "sips" and a camera but we had so much fun! The painting was "Music City"

Being that I am officially done with Facebook, I thought I would try out the whole blog thing. So today was a normal busy work day for the Dickey family. Rushing out the door in the morning, working all day and coming home to quickly fix some dinner and try to enjoy a few minutes of playtime with the little man before it is time for bath and bed!
Ryan is almost 21 months now. He is growing extremely fast and amazes us everyday with how smart, sweet and funny he is. He will be moving up to the "toddler room" at daycare sometime soon. (He is in the "creeper room" now) They have been trying him out in there for an hour or so everyday so that he gets used to it. He has been bitten twice so far...
